Who we are

A driveway is the first thing people see, and the last thing you should have to think about.

BuckCrete is a hands-on concreting crew that lives and breathes driveways. We do the dirty bits properly: the prep, the fall, the formwork, the steel, because that's what separates a slab that cracks in two summers from one that's still dead-flat in twenty.

Plain, coloured or exposed aggregate. New estate or tight retro-fit. We pour it, screed it, finish it, and clean up after ourselves.

Concrete, done every which way.

Driveways

Our bread and butter. Correct falls, clean expansion joints and edges sharp enough to line a ruler against. Crossovers and aprons sorted with council in mind.

Exposed aggregate

Stone-studded, washed and sealed. Grippy underfoot, premium underwheel.

Coloured & stencilled

Oxide through the mix or patterned on top. Pick a finish that suits the house.

Paths & patios

Side access, alfresco slabs, pool surrounds. Broom or trowel finished.

House & shed slabs

Engineered, set out and poured to plan. Reo chaired, vapour barrier down.

Prep & excavation

Strip, fall, compact and form. The unglamorous half that makes the rest last.

The method

From dirt to done.

  1. 01

    Prep & set out

    Strip the grass, set the levels and falls, compact the base and form up to the string line.

  2. 02

    Steel & pour

    Mesh chaired off the ground, vapour barrier where it's needed, then a quality mix poured and screeded.

  3. 03

    Finish

    Floated, edged and brushed (broom, trowel or exposed) with joints cut clean before it's cured.

  4. 04

    Cure & clean up

    Cured properly, site left tidy, and a quick rundown on how to look after your new slab.
